Cai Be is a river-land mixed town in Vietnam. It is a district of Tien Giang Province in the Mekong Delta region of Vietnam. Along the river, there are docks that handle passengers and goods, and the floating market. Cai Be is the north shore of the tree My Thuan Bridge, the gateway to the city of Vinh Long and the Cuu Long River Delta. Cai Be used to be the Administrative - Economic and Political Center of South Vietnam which called "Cai Be Dinh" (1732 -1757) and then Long Ho Dinh. 1. Cai Be Floating Market
Cai Be floating market is the contiguous place of three provinces namely Tien Giang, Ben Tre, Vinh Long. It's one of the three largest wholesale floating markets in the Southwest region. Along with Cai Rang and Nga Bay floating markets. Since 2017, Cai Be became less crowded than it used to be. 2. Cai Be Catholic Church
Cai Be Catholic Church was built that following Roman style and made of reinforced concrete with stones and grit built in 1930s. The design of Cai Be church is very balanced with the Holy Cross in the center. This church leaves strong impression on visitors by its five French bronze bells in the bell tower and its gothic architecture.
3. Dong Hoa Hiep Old Houses
Cai Be town has many ancient houses hidden under canals, gardens, every season, it is always green and peaceful. Many of them are more than 200 years old.
The ancient houses in Cai Be have the unique combination between Eastern architecture and Western one as the proof of cultural development and workmanship of Vietnamese architects.
